Professionals want their LinkedIn feed to feature real stories, fresh perspectives, and career-enhancing ideas. At the same time, they prefer to avoid posts that feel irrelevant, overly personal, or inauthentic. LinkedIn is introducing new tools and practices to help users maintain a meaningful, high-quality feed.

Tailoring Your Feed

Users now have more control over what appears in their feed. Identity verification, completed by over 90 million members, helps build trust with those viewing content. Professionals can also hide or report unwanted posts, customize their feed to reduce political content, and manage comments or post visibility. These tools put members in control, creating a safer and more personalized LinkedIn experience.

Keeping Engagement Real

To ensure authenticity, LinkedIn is actively addressing “engagement pods”, coordinated groups that artificially boost likes, comments, and shares. Systems are now in place to detect suspicious patterns, flag posts that appear artificially amplified, and limit their reach. The platform is also targeting third-party tools that manipulate engagement, while reducing low-quality content such as clickbait, promotional posts, and automated comments.

Maintaining a Trusted Platform

These efforts build on LinkedIn’s security infrastructure, which blocks over 99% of fake accounts and scams before they are reported. Between July and December 2024, more than 80.6 million fake accounts were blocked at registration. Continuous investment in smarter tools and stronger policies ensures LinkedIn remains a safe, trusted space for professionals to engage and share valuable content.
