Professionals, creators, and businesses are getting even more ways to stand out and engage on LinkedIn. This week’s updates include new video creation tools with CapCut integration, expanded company and recruiter verification, insights into post saves and shares, growing activity in Europe, and data-backed tips on posting frequency. Here’s a closer look at the latest tools and trends helping users build reach, credibility, and engagement on the platform.

LinkedIn Adds Post Send and Save Insights

New analytics features are giving users more ways to measure how their content performs on the platform. The “Saves” metric shows how many people have bookmarked a post for later reference, while “Sends” tracks how often a post has been shared via private messages.

These insights highlight the growing value of bookmarking and direct sharing as meaningful engagement signals. Brands and creators can now better understand which posts resonate most with their audience, guiding future content strategies and maximizing impact.
Recent updates also include tools such as post-driven profile viewers, new follower counts, and custom button interactions. By providing these analytics, LinkedIn aims to help professionals and businesses make the most of their presence across its 1.2 billion members.

New CapCut Tools Make Video Creation and LinkedIn Sharing Easier

The popular video editing app CapCut has rolled out a series of new features, including a direct integration with LinkedIn. Users can now export videos from CapCut to LinkedIn in just two taps, eliminating the need for extra exporting steps and streamlining the posting process. Videos shared this way will display a “Made with CapCut” message, but the platform confirms this does not affect content ranking in the feed.

Beyond LinkedIn sharing, CapCut has introduced a suite of generative AI tools to enhance video creation. Features now include text-to-video generation with scripts and music, AI media generation via external models like Veo3 and Seedream, and AI avatars that transform photos into animated characters with lifelike gestures and voice.

Editing capabilities have also been improved with new tools such as AutoCut, AI Clipper, and transcript features, while multilingual translation options help creators reach broader audiences. These updates aim to streamline content production, making it easier for professionals and marketers to create engaging videos and repurpose them across platforms.

This week, LinkedIn released a set of tips and best practices to help users make the most of their video content, including usage statistics, measurement pointers, and case study examples. Short-form video is particularly on the rise, and video ads are driving significantly higher engagement.

Authentic, informative videos easily captured on a phone and uploaded to the app tend to perform best, providing a human perspective on professional topics. Such content can help build trust, capture attention in busy feeds, and foster stronger connections with audiences.

LinkedIn has also shared guidance on video ad formats, when to use them, and third-party tools for creating and uploading content. The recent integration with CapCut offers additional options for producing standout video campaigns, while the platform continues to emphasize the value of raw, authentic uploads, which resonate strongly with younger users.

Building Trust: Company and Recruiter Verification Updates

To increase trust and reduce misrepresentation, the platform has expanded company page verification and introduced mandatory workplace verification for recruiter-related roles. Previously limited to a small number of pages, company verification is now accessible to all organizations with a Premium Company Page subscription, giving businesses an official checkmark that signals authenticity.

These updates help job-seekers identify legitimate companies while adding credibility for brands willing to invest in Premium features. Although verification isn’t available for all 60 million company pages, it provides a valuable tool for businesses seeking to stand out and establish trust.

Workplace verification for recruiter-related roles ensures that members with titles such as “Recruiter” or “Talent Acquisition Specialist” confirm their affiliation with a verified organization. This step reduces scams and helps candidates trust that they are interacting with legitimate hiring professionals from the very first contact.

LinkedIn Sees Strong Growth and Engagement in Europe

The platform experienced a 14% rise in European users in the first half of 2025, reaching 54.7 million logged-in monthly active users and 213 million logged-out visits. Countries with the largest relative growth include Slovenia (+100%), Lithuania (+50%), and Czechia (+33%), while major EU markets averaged around 10% MAU growth.

Alongside rising user numbers, reports of misinformation, hate speech, and harassment have also increased, reflecting both higher engagement and ongoing moderation challenges. Misinformation reports rose 25%, hate speech reports grew 12%, and harassment complaints jumped 33% year-over-year. Interestingly, reports of fake accounts only increased by 11%, suggesting concerns are more about artificial engagement than illegitimate profiles.
To manage this growth, moderation staff have expanded to 1,757 globally, a 52% increase since March 2024 indicating that while AI is increasingly integrated, human oversight remains critical in maintaining platform integrity.

Posting Frequency Drives Greater LinkedIn Reach

Data from Buffer suggests that posting more frequently is a key factor in maximizing reach on the platform. An analysis of over 2 million posts from 94,000+ accounts found that posting 2-5 times per week can increase impressions by around 1,000 per update, 6-10 times per week boosts impressions by 5,000 per post, and posting more than 11 times weekly can generate over 16,000 additional impressions per post.

Higher posting frequency also correlates with increased per-post engagement, largely driven by greater exposure. Buffer attributes this to LinkedIn’s algorithm, which rewards consistent activity, amplifying content from users who post regularly. While content quality remains important, these findings emphasize that consistent, meaningful activity is critical for building visibility, connecting with professionals, and taking advantage of LinkedIn’s growing role in business conversations.

Keeping the Feed Authentic: LinkedIn Cracks Down on Engagement Pods

Oscar Rodriguez, VP of Product at LinkedIn, shared updates on how the platform is making the feed more authentic and valuable for professionals. Measures include detecting and limiting artificially boosted posts from “engagement pods”,  coordinated groups that like, comment, and share posts to increase visibility and taking action against third-party tools that enable such manipulation.

The platform is also reducing low-quality content, such as clickbait, overly promotional posts, and automated comments, while strengthening its security infrastructure, which blocked over 80.6 million fake accounts in the second half of 2024.

Members can further tailor their feed by hiding or reporting posts, controlling comments, and reducing political content. Profile verification is encouraged to build trust, and over 90 million professionals have already verified their identities. These steps aim to create a safer, more relevant, and trustworthy experience for everyone.
